In the second fight held at flyweight (up to 56,7kg), Rose namajunas lived up to favoritism and defeated Amanda ribas in the unanimous decision of the judges. Despite not having achieved victory via the fast track, the North American approved her performance against the Brazilian and analyzed the strategy carried out in the main fight of the UFC Las Vegas 89.

“I knew she was going to be very tough. I knew she could take a lot of blows to the head. I was trying to go into her body a little. At times I felt a little sloppy, slipping on my feet and maybe trying to fall a little too hard at times and losing my balance. But overall, I felt like I performed really well and, yes, I was happy,” Rose said in an interview with ESPN.

After the confrontation, Namajunas expressed his desire to face the winner of Erin Blanchfield x Manon Fiorot, who face each other this Saturday (30). In addition to these, the former strawweight champion (up to 52,1kg) opened the doors to a duel against Mayce Barber.

“These are the main ones. Obviously, I would love a title shot, but I know I still have a lot to prove. However, no one else comes to mind at this point,” she concluded.
