Protagonist of an unprecedented moment in the history of Ultimate, 20-year-old Igor Severino went 'from heaven to hell' after his debut in the biggest MMA organization in the world. Pivot with an unpleasant outcome after biting André Lima, the 'Mascot', in a fight in UFC Las Vegas 89, the flyweight (up to 56,7kg) ended up being fired moments after the unsportsmanlike action. The athlete, then, went from being a promise of the company to having a passage marked by the act of indiscipline.

Despite the mistake, Severino has a convincing track record in mixed martial arts. Revealed by 'Dana White's Contender Series', in 2023, the Brazilian arrived at the organization with an impeccable record, without ever having suffered a defeat.

Flyweight representative, Igor debuted in MMA at the age of 15, competing for the AFC (Alternative Fight Combat). Until his arrival in Ultimate, the athlete marked his record in a positive way, having won all eight clashes on the fast track.

Severino's talent and meteoric rise led the fighter to win the flyweight belt in the Jungle Fight, in 2022, when he knocked out Manoel Juninho. For the company chaired by Wallid Ismail, the man from Pará had four commitments, overcoming his opponents with two knockouts and two submissions.

The overwhelming performances took the Brazilian to the 'Contender Series'. In the competition that can give direct access to the UFC, Severino knocked out Jhonata Silva, which led to the athlete receiving a contract with Ultimate.

About six months after winning, Igor would debut as an official representative of the largest MMA organization in the world. The dream, however, turned into a nightmare after the fighter was summarily dismissed moments after an act of indiscipline, when he bit his opponent André Mascote during a confrontation.

Before the unsportsmanlike action, Severino had an exciting challenge with André. After the first electrifying round, the man from Pará 'lost his head' and committed the infraction that led to the end of the fight due to disqualification.
