Former classmate says Jon Jones threw rivals out the window during college fights

Nowadays, Jon Jones He is the best MMA fighter on the planet according to the official UFC rankings and is feared by his opponents for his punches, kicks and, especially, elbows. But there was a time in the past when “Bones” intimidated his opponents with another far less orthodox skill: his habit of throwing his rivals out of windows during college fights. The unusual revelation was made by a former roommate of the light heavyweight champion at “Iowa Central Community College”.

“We got into a lot of trouble. When you're in a small town in Iowa, a lot of the guys are farm boys and they always want to start something with their kids. wrestlers and me and Jones were national champions, so they were always trying to pick fights at dorm parties and stuff like that. We just cleaned the place of a bunch of townies (people who live in the city of Universities, but have no connection with it). Especially Jon. He was always throwing people out of windows. It was crazy. He had a bad temper. When he got mad, he got really mad,” the former roommate said, Colby covington, to the “MMA Roasted” podcast.

Apparently, the “experience” of Jon Jones during his university years served him recently, when at a promotional event in Las Vegas (USA) the champion threw the challenger Daniel Cormier from the stage set up at the MGM Grand Garden. Now, Jones and Cormier will face each other in the octagon, on January 3, 2015, in the main fight of UFC 182.
