Edmen shahbazyan, a name that has already carried the weight of being the 'next big promise' of the Ultimate, appears to have finally found his way into the organization. On the main card of ufc vegas 89 this Saturday (23), the pupil of Ronda Rousey staged an exciting turnaround, overcoming AJ Dobson by technical knockout at 4:43. of the first round, in the middleweight category (up to 83,9kg).
With the victory, Shahbazyan increases his record to 13 triumphs and 4 setbacks, while Dobson suffered his third defeat, boasting a record of 7 victories.

The fight was no walk in the park for Shahbazyan. The North American had to overcome difficult moments, such as a blunt blow that made him wobble and even an unfavorable position underneath his opponent. However, his resilience and physical preparation were decisive for the final result.
After getting out of the disadvantageous position, Edmen pressed Dobson against the fence and delivered a devastating right cross, which sent him to the canvas. From then on, the American completely dominated the action, forcing the referee to intervene and declare a technical knockout.
