Mark Hunt received practically at the last minute the opportunity to face Fabricio Werdum for the interim heavyweight belt, next Saturday (15), at UFC 180. Even with little preparation time, the New Zealander exuded confidence when commenting on his expectations for the fight, which will mark the debut of Ultimate in Mexican territory.

Hunt considers that the chance that fell into his lap was a great opportunity to show his potential and win the long-awaited title, which would be his first in MMA. “I'm here to win. I'm going to knock out Fabrício. This is my chance, my opportunity”, commented the fighter, in an interview with the website of the North American broadcaster “FOX Sports”.

substitute for Cain Velazquez, the veteran considers that the change of opponent was bad for the Brazilian. “It’s bad luck for Cain that he got hurt. And it's bad luck for Fabrício, because that was his moment. I feel blessed to have this opportunity and I will take it”, he promised.

Hunt isn't worried with the Brazilian strategy in trying to tire the fighter until he seeks a submission. “Your goal is probably to knock me down and tire me out. I know that. But all I need is a punch, a knee, a kick”, he warned.
