Belfort confirms fight against Weidman for February: 'Contract signed!'

The Brazilian will face the owner of the middleweight belt on February 28, in Los Angeles (USA)

Vitor belfort confirmed that his long-awaited fight against Chris Weidman, which will be worth the UFC middleweight belt, will take place on February 28th in the city of Los Angeles, California (USA).

The Brazilian veteran posted the information on his account on Twitter and even stated that the contract for the fight has already been signed. “For those who don't know yet: fight confirmed for February 28th, in Los Angeles. Contract Signed!”, he wrote.

This will be Weidman's third title defense, who, as champion, defeated Anderson Silva e Lyoto Machida. Belfort, who hasn't fought since November last year, has won four consecutive victories in the middleweight division, beating Yoshihiro Akiyama, Anthony Johnson, Michael Bisping e Luke Rockhold. He doesn't know what it's like to lose in the division since his famous fight against Anderson Silva, in February 2011.
