Defeated in his last appearance, Henry Cejudo went against expectations and ruled out that he would retire after a setback in UFC 298. Looking to return to the winning path, the former double champion reignited old rivalry and challenged Brandon Moreno for confrontation in his next appearance. Despite his speech, 'Triplo C' still had no response from the Mexican.
“What fight (would be) better than ‘Triple C’ (against) Brandon Moreno. The Mexican-American versus the real Mexican, and they come together and have a five-round showdown at the Sphere in Las Vegas for Mexican Independence Day. I like that. I think if there's any way we can resolve this, no more talking, no more clowning around, no more of all this. The only way to do this is with Brandon Moreno, I accept your challenge, let’s do this on Mexican Independence Day”, suggested Cejudo in a video published on his channel YouTube.
