It couldn't be any different. The war fought by José Aldo e Chad Mendes During the UFC featherweight title fight, he received the “Fight of the Night” award at UFC Rio 5, as UFC 179 was popularly called.
Both the Brazilian, who kept his belt in the judges' decision, and the American will take home a check for US$50. In addition to them, two other Brazilian athletes received the same amount for “Performance of the Night”.

Gilbert Durinho finished Christos Giagos with an armbar in the first round during the preliminary card, while Fábio Maldonado defeated Hans Stringer via technical knockout.
