Topuria reveals what surprised him most about Volkanovski's performance at UFC 298

New UFC featherweight champion says he had difficulty using counterattacks against the Australian and explains why

“To be honest, he surprised me. He was very quick with his jabs. His movement, the way he positioned himself in the Octagon. He surprised me a little. It took me a little bit of time to study him, right, inside the Octagon. But at the end of the day, we got the job done. The timing and speed with which he used his jabs. Normally, I do a lot of counterattacks for jabs, but with him it was a little difficult”, revealed Topuria in an interview with ESPN.
