Featured in UFC 298, Henry Cejudo promoted drastic changes in preparation for the fight against Merab Dvalishvili. In a video released by the UFC, the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) announced the dismissal of trainer Eric Albarracin. The mentor is one of those responsible for the success of 'Triple C' in martial arts.

“You were with me for my last Olympic trials, but from now on, I just want you to know that for this camp (training period), I am renouncing specific coaches and that includes you. Sometimes you get too close to someone and people get too comfortable. Right now, what I want to do in fight camp is keep it as professional as possible,” Cejudo said.

A fundamental part of Henry's achievements, Albarracin closely followed his pupil's rise in the UFC. Among the achievements, the coach witnessed the fighter's consecration in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg) and, later, in the bantamweight division.

Willing to regain the belt in the under-61,2kg category, which he relinquished in 2020, when the North American announced his retirement, Cejudo has a decisive commitment over the weekend. After resuming his career in 2023, but being defeated by the then champion, aljamain sterling, the athlete fights the last race for the throne.
