Fighter suggests better 'marriage' for category champion; Brazilian still has no date or rival to return to the Octagon

Former UFC light heavyweight (up to 93kg) standout, Thiago Marreta suggested the ideal opponent for Alex Poatán in the champion's next appointment. In an interview with podcast 'Frank Exchange', the new PFL star indicated that Jamahal hill should be the athlete chosen as challenger

“Of all the marriages, I think (Hill) is a better fight for Poatan. It's not an easy fight. Jamahal hill It's very hard. Others, like (Magomed) Ankalaev, will try to put Poatan down. Hill can surprise Poatan on the feet, but it's the style that works. Styles make fights. Standing up, Poatan has a very high fight IQ. Very difficult”, said Marreta.

Light heavyweight champion since the end of 2023, Alex still has no confirmed date or opponent for his return to the Octagon. On social media, however, the Brazilian has been sharing his training routine and indicates a challenge coming soon.

Former belt holder, Jamahal hill recently announced that he has recovered from the serious injury suffered at the beginning of last season. Without fighting for over a year, the American hopes to be confirmed as a title challenger.
