In preparation for his first chance to fight for a UFC belt, Ilia Topuria exudes confidence and treats Alexander Volkanovsky as a challenge overcome. Convinced that he will become featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg.), the company's highlight once again set its sights on Conor McGregor and was willing to face the Irish in any category. In the Spanish-Georgian's view, the former double champion is physically smaller and his weight will not be a problem.
"He's big? I'm big, I'm even bigger than him, much bigger. I hate. Do you think I love this weight cutting process? I'm big too. I'm strong. We can do this in any category. Do you think if I'm walking down the street and McGregor says something to me, I'm going to worry about the weight issue? Who cares about weight? We can do this without weight limits”, declared Topuria in an interview with 'TMZ Sports'.

Scheduled to face Volkanovski on February 17, at UFC 298, Ilia Topuria plans to defeat the Australian and defend the title against McGregor in Spain. Despite his intention, the athlete did not receive any type of response or reaction from the Irishman. Still without an official return, the 'Notório' is expected to return in the North American spring.
