Inconsolable. Thats how Sean Strickland came after losing the title to Dricus Du Plessis No. UFC 297. Defeated in a split decision by the judges, the American returned to the locker room with a downcast face amid the consolation of his training partners and his girlfriend. In a video published on his channel YouTube (see below), 'Tarzan' publishes a record of his moments after suffering a setback for the South African.

In addition to not agreeing with the decision of the side judges, Sean Strickland accused his rival of illegally headbutting him during the confrontation and causing a cut on his eye, a fact that, according to the former champion, would have hindered his performance in a crucial round of the fight. Despite the objection, the athlete did not dwell on the controversy.

Still in the video it is possible to watch the moment when Strickland passes by Du Plessis and avoids making contact with his rival. Once on the bus, 'Tarzan' lowers his head as he heads towards his hotel in Toronto, Canada.

Although the confrontation was even and the result was highly contested by many fans and MMA experts, Dana White quickly stated that they do not intend to hold an immediate rematch between Strickland and Du Plessis for the middleweight title. According to the president, the directors will meet to define the South African's next opponent.
