MMA legend, Chris Cyborg once again admitted his chances of returning to Ultimate. Upon becoming aware that Amanda nunes, her biggest rival in the sport, can retire, the Curitiba native has set a condition for her return to the UFC to be confirmed. The athletes faced each other in a historic challenge in 2018, with the Bahian winning and winning the featherweight title (up to 65,7kg) at the time.

“I am undefeated in 10 fights since 2018. If Amanda nunes come out of retirement, maybe it's time to Chris Cyborg back”, wrote Cyborg, who made a point of tagging Dana White and the UFC in the post made on 'X', old Twitter.

Considered by many to be the best fighter of all time, Cris makes no secret of the fact that she has issues to resolve with her compatriot. At UFC 232, the athletes shared the octagon for a superfight, in which the Bahian came out victorious with a devastating knockout.

For years, Cyborg has sought a rematch with Amanda. His departure from Ultimate after the end of his contract, however, made it difficult to reach an agreement.

In recent years, Cris has competed with Bellator gloves. Nunes, in turn, reigned as double UFC champion until her retirement in mid-2023.

Remember controversy between Cris Cyborg and Dana White

Looking to renew his contract with the UFC, Chris Cyborg did not come to an agreement with the president of the organization, who ended up stating that the Brazilian was afraid of having a rematch against Amanda nunes in season. After the episode, the former champion ended up becoming a new fighter for Bellator, a rival company to Ultimate.

Despite the facts, both later stated that there were no longer negative feelings between the parties. In an exclusive statement to SUPER FIGHTS, the fighter reinforced that she did not hold a grudge against the president.

“I have nothing against Dana White. Maybe he was surprised, because what he did to me, if someone did it to him, he wouldn't send congratulations. I don’t hold any grudges,” Cyborg said.
