Mentor of Charles of the Bronx, Diego Lima spoke excitedly about his pupil's next challenge. In an interview with podcast ‘Frank exchange’, the coach analyzed Arman Tsarukyan, the student's rival in UFC 300 and compared the athlete to the São Paulo native’s former victim. The coach also pointed out the former champion's advantages over the lightweight promise (up to 70,3kg).
“He (Tsarukyan) reminds me a lot of (Michael) Chandler. He has very good ground and pound. (…) But Charles is very versatile. He improved standing up, on the floor, on the fence. He was already very good, but he is improving. He is undergoing a bodily and spiritual evolution. He improves every day,” said Diego.
One of those responsible for Do Bronx's success in MMA, the coach admitted surprise at his pupil's reaction to the confirmation of the fight. The mentor portrayed the student's excitement.

“He is very excited. I even surprised myself. I hadn't seen him so excited in a long time, so much so that he trained over the New Year. He also trained on the 1st (January). He's another Charles. I hadn't seen him like this in a long time. This gives me more and more certainty of victory. The motivated and trained Charles is unstoppable,” he concluded.
With an eye on a new opportunity to regain the controversially lost lightweight belt in 2022, Do Bronx has the opportunity to stop a rising UFC prospect. If he overcomes Arman, the Brazilian will take an important step towards a rematch with the current champion Islam makhachev.
A bet from the ‘American Top Team’ (ATT), Tsarukyan will experience his biggest career challenge to date. At 27 years old, the fighter is coming off an imposing victory over Beneil Dariush, a feat that guaranteed his presence in the top 5 of the division.
