In history UFC 300, which will take place on April 13th, the 'Blessed' will challenge the owner of the 'BMF' belt (more thick skin) Justin gaethje in a confrontation that promises high emotions for fans of mixed martial arts and the long-awaited clash could represent a rebirth for the former king of the division of Alexander Volkanovsky.

Last Tuesday night (16), Dana White announced on his social networks another big confrontation for the long-awaited card of UFC 300. In a duel that will take place at lightweight (up to 70,3kg), Holloway will face the also experienced Justin gaethje, owner of the 'BMF' belt. Although Dana himself assured that the title would not be defended by Gaethje, the lack of big names for the UFC 300 forced the president of Ultimate to go back on his word and marry this explosive confrontation.

However, for Holloway, the duel with Gaethje could be the ‘salvation’ for his career. Former featherweight champion, Max has already fought the current belt holder three times Alexander Volkanovsky and suffered three defeats. A fourth duel with the Australian becomes practically impossible to achieve. And, as if that wasn’t enough, ‘Blessed’ beat all the prospects and fighters who dreamed of fighting the champion. It became impossible to reach Volkanovski, as no one other than the Australian managed to beat Holloway.

Names like Calvin kattar, arnold allen e Yair Rodriguez They couldn't reach Volkanovski or they arrived in an 'alternative' way, without having to beat Holloway. The Hawaiian fighter has become a 'nuisance' for the featherweight division: he is not at the champion's level but is far above the other would-be challengers. Volkanovski's next rival, the Spaniard Ilia Topuria had to jump the queue to be able to fight for the title, a request from Volka himself, thirsty for new names and unable to change categories after two defeats to Islam makhachev.

At just 32 years old and with a very low history of serious injuries, Holloway still has many high-level seasons ahead of him and the UFC 300 It could be the beginning of a new era in your career. If you win Justin gaethje and win the ‘BMF’ belt, Max will be able to ‘choose’ his next rivals, he will be lucky enough to only have opponents with a style of play similar to his and with no chance of meeting again Alexander Volkanovsky.

The BMF belt can bring the spotlight of big events back to Holloway, it prevents the Hawaiian from becoming discouraged from living solely with the mission of stopping prospects and, if Ilia Topuria beat Volkanovski on February 17th, the ‘Blessed’ will be in front of goal to try to regain the featherweight belt. It's a game Holloway can only win. The MMA fan is grateful and hopes to continue watching ‘Abençoado’ on the main cards and facing the best possible fighters in the UFC.
