Virtual welterweight challenger reveals plans to train with Khabib Nurmagomedov for UFC 300

Palestinian descendant Belal Muhammad said he plans to travel to Dagestan, Russia so he can train with the former lightweight champion with a view to a possible title fight against Leon Edwards

Virtual welterweight challenger (up to 77,1kg), Belal Muhammad | You already know where and with whom you want to take part in your training camp. In an interview with 'MMA Junkie', the Palestinian descendant revealed that he is interested in traveling to Dagestan, Russia to train with the team led by Khabib Nurmagomedov.

“I’m definitely planning on going to Dagestan and training with those guys. To have a new look, to feel something different. Those guys don't let you take any days off or have any easy rounds. This is always perfect for me. The last time I trained with those guys, we got a dominant fast track win and I plan on doing the same thing.” Belal Muhammad |.

Former lightweight champion, Khabib retired in October 2020 with an undefeated record of 29 wins. In his record, the Russian fighter surpassed names like Justin gaethje, Dustin poirier, Conor McGregor e Rafael dos Anjos.

Number two in the welterweight rankings, Belal is enjoying a great moment in the organization with nine wins in his last 10 fights. At 35 years old, the Palestinian descendant has an MMA record of 23 wins, three setbacks and one no-contest.
