Welterweight champion Leon Edwards announces next title defense at UFC 300

The English fighter revealed that he will put his title on the line for the third time in the historic event scheduled for April 16th; Belal Muhammad should be 'Rocky' challenger

Owner of the welterweight belt (up to 77,1kg), Leon edwards announced the date of his next title defense. Speaking to the press in England, the Ultimate champion announced that he will put his reign on the line in UFC 300, scheduled for April 16th, in Las Vegas (USA).

“I will defend my belt in April, at UFC 300, in Las Vegas again. So, hopefully in the summer (between June and September), I will be able to fight at home, in Birmingham, at Villa Park. I’m talking to the UFC and I hope we can do that,” said Edwards.

Although Leon did not reveal the opponent for his third belt defense, reporter Ariel Helwani announced that the organization is working to make it official Belal Muhammad | as Edwards' next rival.
