10 years ago, Anderson Silva suffered a serious injury and shocked Brazil and the world. In the long-awaited rematch against his then tormentor, and middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) Chris Weidman, the Brazilian tried to kick his opponent, but suffered a shocking fracture immediately and went to the ground screaming in pain when he tried to put his leg on the ground. Remember this sad moment in sport.

O UFC 268 was surrounded by expectations among MMA fans and even those who don't follow the sport often. Held in the last days of December 2013, in Las Vegas (USA), the main fight of the show featured a rematch between Anderson Silva and the North American Chris Weidman, who had shocked the world in July by knocking out the previously 'unbeatable' Tupiniquim athlete in the second round and becoming middleweight champion.
The second duel began with new dominance from the North American who dominated the 'Spider' just like in the first clash. Combining his good striking skills with his excellent grappling game, Weidman won the first round against his rival. In the second duel, Anderson tried to impose himself and put pressure on his opponent, however, when he threw a kick, he impressively fractured his leg and ended up on the floor of the MGM Grand Garden Arena screaming in pain and had to be removed on a stretcher.
Without the belt and having to face the worst injury of his career, Anderson would only return to the octagon a little over a year later against the 'bad boy' Nick Diaz.
