Recently, the soap opera involving Nate diaz and the UFC came to an end after the former lightweight title challenger renewed his contract with the organization and scheduled a fight against Rafael dos Anjos for December. However, things are not as simple as they may seem, as the fighter's manager assured that he was not satisfied with the new contract.

Mike Kogan stated that negotiations did not go as planned and that Diaz only agreed to renew his contract because he needs the money to support himself. “We are not happy. No one said everything was fine. Diaz came back because he needs to fight. He needs this to live. If he was Floyd Mayweather Jr, making $30 million a fight, he would probably never come back and we wouldn't hear from him again. But he doesn’t receive the amount of money that people think he does”, explained Kogan, in an interview with the YouTube channel “Fight Hub”.

Kogan questioned the words of UFC president, Dana White, who stated that Diaz could not make many demands in his new contract as he was not a very attractive fighter to the public. “White spent the entire year talking trash about Diaz and now he's fighting the third-ranked player in the co-main fight of a FOX event. If he doesn’t attract attention, what is he doing there?”, he said.

The fight between Diaz and Dos Anjos will take place on December 13th, in Phoenix, in the US state of Arizona. The main fight of the event will be between junior gypsy e Stipe Miocic.
