The request was fulfilled. After knocking out Tarec saffiedine last Saturday (4), Rory McDonald his opportunity to fight for the UFC welterweight belt was confirmed. What's more: the young Canadian will fight the champion in his home country.

The guarantee was made by UFC president, Dana White. “It's almost impossible to deny Rory that, regardless of who wins the fight between Hendricks and Lawler. He's next in line. He is next in line and the fight will be in Canada”, said the Ultimate boss to the Canadian website “Sportsnet”.
