After finishing Michael chandler in May, Do Bronx was scheduled to face the experienced Dustin poirier in the main fight of UFC 269, which would take place on December 11th, in Las Vegas (USA). Even though he owned the lightweight belt, Charles had to deal with several comments from fans and the specialized press saying that he was in the position 'by chance' and that he was 'only good at jiu-jitsu', which made the Brazilian arrive for the clash with a lot of blood in his eyes.
