As has often happened in recent title disputes, Ultimate has already provided a 'reserve fighter' for the duel between Leon edwards e Colby covington which will define the welterweight champion (up to 77,1kg) and takes place in UFC 296, on December 16th. According to 'MMA Junkie', the chosen one was Belal Muhammad |, number two in the division.

Second placed in the welterweight rankings, Belal has nine wins in his last 10 fights and hasn't known what it's like to be defeated since January 2019. At 35 years old, the Palestinian descendant has an MMA record of 23 wins, three setbacks and a 'no-contest' (fight without result).
Current welterweight champion, Leon successfully defended his belt in early March by beating Kamaru Usman in the majority decision of the judges in the UFC 286. Without knowing what defeat is since December 2015, the English fighter has an MMA record of 21 victories and only three setbacks.
Number three in the division rankings, Covington has suffered just two defeats in his last 11 fights, both to the Nigerian Kamaru Usman. Former interim champion of the category, 'Chaos' has been suffering rejection, including from Edwards himself, for being chosen as the category's next challenger. The loud-mouthed North American has a record in the sport of 17 positive results and only three negative results.
