After eight years without appearing at welterweight (up to 77,1kg.), Kelvin Gastelum he had a frustrated return to the category that was successful when he arrived in Ultimate. Escalated to the ufc austin, Gastelum and Brady faced each other on the main card and had a duel in a grappling match. Dominated for two rounds by his rival, Kelvin ended up being unsuccessful in the third round to defend himself from his compatriot's submission attacks and was forced to withdraw.
At 32 years old, the athlete suffered the ninth setback in his career and wasted an opportunity to re-enter the welterweight rankings. On the other hand, Brady returned to winning ways and successfully defended his eighth-place position.
