The premiere of Deiveson Figueiredo among bantamweights (up to 61,2kg) is confirmed. In the early afternoon of this Friday (1), the athletes scheduled for the ufc austin, which takes place this Saturday (2), faced the challenge against the scales at the event's official weigh-in. Former flyweight champion, 'Daico' had no problem getting the 61,2kg weight of the new category and confirming the fight against Rob font, which weighed the same.
Responsible for the main fight of the event, Beneil Dariush e Arman Tsarukyan they were the first two to appear at the scales and also confirmed the duel valid for lightweight (up to 70,3kg) without any problems.
Besides Deiveson Figueiredo, three other Brazilians also went through the scales to confirm their respective duels: lightweight Netto BJJ, light heavyweight (up to 93kg) Rodolfo Belatto and welterweight (up to 77,1kg) Wellington Turman.
Also scheduled for the event, Melquizael Costa had a fight against Steve Garcia cancelled. The announcement of the cancellation was made immediately before the start of the official weigh-in and justified by a health problem presented by Garcia.
