After admitting that he may be close to retiring from MMA, Miesha Tate revealed a crucial mistake made in the final stretch of his career. Featured in ufc austin, which takes place this Saturday (2), the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) admitted to making a mistake when testing herself at flyweight (up to 56,7kg) last season. On that occasion, the veteran ended up being surpassed by Lauren Murphy.

“Fighting at flyweight was a mistake. I wouldn't know how I would do unless I tried. I tried it and I didn't like it,” said Tate, speaking to the press at 'half day'.

After a frustrated stint in the category led by Alex Grasso, Miesha returns to bantamweight. This weekend, the veteran will face Julia Avila.

In addition to facing an Ultimate promise, the North American is trying to defend her 12th position in the rankings. If she is overcome, Tate will also reach the mark of three stumbles in four challenges since she resumed her career.
