Jackson kicked Amosov's leg hard, who tried to catch the Jamaican's leg, but couldn't get the takedown.

The second round began with Jackson defending two more takedown attempts from Amosov. Amosov went after Jackson, who left a nice uppercut on the champion. Afterwards, the Jamaican landed a knee on the champion, which he absorbed well. With a lot of speed and power, Jackson rejected all attempts to approach Amosov. The Ukrainian insisted and managed to grab the Jamaican from behind. With ten seconds remaining, Amosov finally scored the first takedown of the fight.
