For UFC bantamweight Anthony Birchak, last weekend was definitely one to forget. The fighter would make his long-awaited UFC debut on Saturday, August 30, UFC 177, but his fight against Joe Soto was canceled at the last minute, as his opponent was promoted to the main fight of the attraction due to the problems suffered by Renan Barao. In addition to having to deal with the frustration of seeing the fight being cancelled, Birchak had a not-so-pleasant surprise upon returning to his hometown, Tucson, Arizona (USA): his house had been robbed.

Birchak shared the news on his Twitter account Twitter. "Wow! If the weekend couldn't get any more f*****g, I just got home and discovered that we were robbed!”, wrote the fighter, who commented that the items taken by the thieves included jewelry, children's toys, televisions, food and the ring he won when he became champion of the Maximum Fighting Championship event.

At 28 years old, Birchak gave up the MFC title to sign with Ultimate. His MMA record is 11 wins and just one loss, suffered in September 2011.
