PFL is impressed with Ngannou in boxing and proposes an agreement with UFC to fight against Jon Jones

The possible fight between Francis Ngannou e Jon Jones, two of the biggest names in MMA worldwide, gained a new chapter this week. PFL founder and president Donn Davis suggested a deal with the UFC for the duel to take place.

Davis, who is Ngannou's partner in the PFL, said that the Cameroonian is willing to face Jones in a fight promoted by both organizations, and that it only depends on the will of White and the UFC for the confrontation to take place. According to him, it would be a unique opportunity for fans, fighters and the sport.

“Let’s do this fight. For fans, fighters and sport. There are no obstacles. There are no legal, contractual, PPV or money problems. Ngannou and Jones want it. The PFL is ready. It depends on Dana and UFC”, wrote Davis on his 'X' (formerly Twitter) account.

To date, neither Dana White nor Jon Jones spoke out about Donn Davis' proposal.

Ngannou, who was UFC heavyweight champion, left the organization after a series of disagreements with president Dana White, debuted in professional boxing last Saturday (28/10), in Saudi Arabia, against the British Tyson Fury, considered one of the best boxers today.

The French-Cameroonian surprised by taking the fight to a split decision from the judges, after 12 rounds of striking and resistance. Despite the defeat, the fighter received praise from several names in boxing and MMA, such as Conor McGregor e junior gypsy.

Jones, in turn, is one of the most dominant fighters in the history of Ultimate, having been light heavyweight champion twice and defending the belt on 11 occasions. The North American announced in 2020 that he would move up to the heavyweight category, but made his debut in March this year by finishing Cyryl Gane and become linear champion. He would face Stipe Miocic No. UFC 295, suffered a shoulder injury, had to leave the fight and will undergo surgery.
