Amid the suspense over who will, in fact, be the next challenger for the lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg.), Michael Bisping chose to alleviate the problem and suggest the ideal path for the category to progress. Keeping an eye on the intentions of Justin gaethje, the Englishman suggested that the athlete prioritize the challenge made by Max Holloway and be the first fighter to put the BMF title on the line.

"(...) Justin gaethje, Max Holloway, BMF belt, make more history, defend the BMF belt. He would be the first person to defend the BMF belt, I mean, that's a really cool thing. Listen, we know it's some kind of belt made up for promotional purposes, but it's cool and the fans dig it and I love it, why not?" Bisping suggested on his YouTube channel. YouTube.

Despite the statement, the veteran did not ignore the fact that Justin gaethje want to face Islam makhachev by the belt.

“Come on, defend the BMF against Max Holloway and meanwhile, Charles Oliveira, Islam makhachev, they go to war, Islam probably does the job there and then Justin gaethje get up, fight him wherever, Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi, I don't care, I just want to see the fight. So I don't think Justin gaethje should stay out because history has shown that you can be forgotten”, he concluded.
