3- Said Nurmagomedov x Muin Gafurov – UFC 294
Opening the main card of the star UFC 294, in Abu Dhabi, Said Nurmagomedov guaranteed his return to the top 15 of bantamweights (up to 61,2kg) with one of his favorite submissions, over Muin Gafurov.
Just over a minute into the fight, the Dagestan athlete took advantage of the Tajik's hasty entry, closed a hand triangle and forced his rival to quickly tap out three times.
2- Joe Pyfer x Abdul Razak Alhassan – UFC Las Vegas 80
Signed through the Contender Series in 2022, joe pyfer has quickly proven himself to be one of the main middleweight prospects (up to 83,9kg) in recent months, and he did so once again in the duel against Abdul Razak Alhassan, UFC Las Vegas 80.
In the second round of the fight, Pyfer timed Alhassan's strikes, applied a beautiful takedown to his rival, wasted no time and followed up with a katagatame, which 'erased' his opponent.
1- Muhammad Mokaev x Tim Elliot – UFC 294
Just like in second position, the top of the October finishes podium also belongs to a katagatame: that of Muhammad Mokayev about Tim Elliot on UFC 294.
In a complicated fight against the American veteran, Mokaev showed why he is considered one of the organization's main promises and landed a katagatame in the third round to win a fight that he was losing on the judges' scorecards.
