With three fights in four months, Rafael dos Anjos asks for rest after beating Bendo

Brazilian cited the desire to spend more time with family as the main motivation for taking time off

After achieving the biggest victory of his career, with the knockout over Ben henderson at UFC Fight Night 49, the Brazilian Rafael dos Anjos You already know what you want to do next: rest. In the midst of a sequence of three fights in four months, Rafael cited his desire to spend more time with his family to ask for a break right after last Saturday's event (23), in Tulsa (USA).

“Firstly, I had three fights in four months. And that's a lot. I don't know about my future right now, but whatever the UFC wants, I'll do. Now, the only thing I think about is paying attention to my family and getting some rest. What comes next is in the hands of the UFC”, said the Brazilian during the press conference that followed the fight night.

Currently in fifth position in the lightweight rankings, Rafael dos Anjos began his marathon of combats in April this year, when he was defeated by the Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov. Quickly, the Rio native had the chance to recover from the setback and knocked out Jason High in June. After another two-month break, Rafael returned to the octagon last Saturday and beat the former lightweight champion Ben henderson by technical knockout in the first round.
