One of the great highlights of TUF Brasil 3, Warlley alves has been missing from MMA news in recent months. However, the fighter explained himself and revealed that he took some time off to lose weight and finally return to the UFC octagon, which he intends to do this year.

The 23-year-old Minas Gerais native was champion in the reality show competing among the middleweights (up to 84 kg), but, in his next fight, he should return to his original category, the welterweight (up to 77 kg). “I want to fight until the end of the year. I will be ready to fight from November onwards. I'm getting 100%, lowering my weight, so I'll be able to fight again by the end of the year”, said Alves, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Fighting”.

The program's champion said he needed some time off to be able to return with everything at the end of the year. “I'm coming off seven consecutive fights. I fought twice in Jungle Fight, which I consider to be one of the toughest events in Brazil, and then I entered the [TUF] house. I had a tough fight with Wendell Negão and fought four more times on the program and in the final. My body was tired, so I decided to take some time off, relax and take care of the injuries,” he explained.
