Tainara Lisboa from São Paulo won her second victory in the UFC by defeating Bahia's Ravena Oliveira by unanimous decision of the judges on Saturday night (14/10), in a Brazilian duel at UFC Las Vegas 81. The fight was valid for the women's flyweight category (up to 56,7kg).
Tainara, who is 32 years old and has a record of eight wins and two losses, showed superiority in grappling and dominated Ravena, 26 years old and with a record of seven wins, three losses and a draw, for most of the fight.

In the first round, Tainara used her larger wingspan to maintain distance and land long blows. She also clinched and landed a knee on Ravena's face, who reacted with a takedown in half guard. Tainara defended herself well, got up and took down the Bahian to punish her with punches until the end of the round.
In the second round, Tainara surprised by taking the fight to the ground right from the beginning. She was on top in half guard and then in mount, while Ravena tried an armbar without success. Tainara controlled the position and threw elbows and punches at her opponent.
In the third and final round, Ravena came with everything to try to turn things around and landed some blows to Tainara's face in the exchange. She also worked low kicks and knees to the body. However, Lisbon defeated its rival again in the final stretch and secured the victory on points.

terrance mckinney showed all his power and speed by knocking out Brendon Marotte in just 20 seconds on the UFC Vegas 81 preliminary card. The fighter, who is nicknamed T-Rex, landed a brutal knee to his opponent's solar plexus, who fell without reacting.
McKinney, who was coming off a knockout victory over Mike Breeden, in August of this year, he extended his streak to two fights and reached his 15th career victory, seven of which by knockout. The 29-year-old American is considered one of the promises of the lightweight division.
Marotte, in turn, suffered his second career defeat and had a frustrating start in the UFC. The 26-year-old American had won eight of his previous nine fights, five by knockout and two by submission. He was signed by Ultimate after a submission victory over Lionel Young at LFA 114, in August this year.

Chris Gutierrez achieved an important victory in the UFC. The North American defeated the Chinese Alatengheili by unanimous decision of the judges in a fight valid for the bantamweight category (up to 61,2 kg.).
Gutierrez, who is 15th in the division's rankings, dominated the fight with kicks to Alatengheili's left leg, which was badly injured. The North American also showed superiority in striking and controlling distance, avoiding his opponent's attacks.
With the victory, Gutierrez returned to good form in Ultimate and has a record of 20 wins, four defeats and two draws in his career. Alatengheili has 16 positive results and nine negative results in his record.

Emily ducote opened the preliminary card with an impressive victory over Ashley yoder. In a fight held in the strawweight division (up to 52,1kg), Gordinha, as she is known, managed to overcome the difference in size and emerged victorious in the judges' unanimous decision.
With the triumph, Ducote alleviates the situation and wins his second in four Ultimate appearances. The fighter now has 13 positive results and eight negative results.
Yoder, in turn, has a negative record of eight wins and nine losses. It was the third time in a series that she was unable to leave with her arms raised and was now at risk of dismissal.
Darren Elkins does well and submits TJ Brown with a rear naked choke
Veteran Darren Elkins once again showed his determination and resilience by winning TJ Brown via submission (rear-naked choke) in the third round of the featherweight (up to 65,7kg) preliminary fight. It was Elkins' 28th fight in the Octagon, equaling the record for Max Holloway in the division.
Elkins, 39 years old, had a difficult start to the fight, suffering from blows from Brown, who was looking for striking and landing kicks and punches to his opponent's face. TJ also had the advantage in takedowns, taking down Darren in the first round and controlling the action on the ground.
In the third round, however, Elkins changed the pace and took Brown to the ground early on. He passed guard and took Brown's back, locking in a rear-naked choke that forced him to withdraw at 2:23. It was the veteran's eighth career submission victory and his second in a row in the UFC.
With the triumph, Elkins reached 28 wins and 11 losses in his career, 18 positive and ten negative in the UFC. Brown, in turn, has 17 wins and 11 negatives, but is negative with five defeats in eight fights.
