Video: MMA stars participate in ice bucket solidarity challenge

Called in the United States the “ALS Ice Bucket Challenge” (Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS), the challenge that aims to raise awareness and raise funds to combat Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis ended up gaining many fans in the MMA world as well. Already starring names like Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Steven Spielberg and the North American basketball team, the ice bucket challenge also featured the participation of mixed martial arts stars.

Among the personalities who decided to participate in the challenge are: President Dana White, who recorded his video straight from his vacation in Bora Bora; CEO Lorenzo Fertitta, who received a real shower from the entire cast of The Ultimate Fighter 20; the muse Ronda Rousey; journalist Ariel Helwani, from the UFC Tonight newspaper; and former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar, whose outcome of the attempt with his children is hilarious.

The “ALS Ice Bucket Challenge” campaign challenges celebrities to throw a bucket of ice water, in the style of winning American football coaches, against their own head or make a donation to the “ALS Association”, or even both. . Additionally, participants must challenge three other people to do the same within 24 hours. There are multiple versions about the origin of the challenge, but although there were already some occurrences in the north of the USA last year, its creation is attributed to a foundation fighting cancer in New Zealand, last July.
