VIDEO: Kamaru Usman impresses with physical shape on the eve of his middleweight debut

Escalated to the awaited UFC 294, Kamaru Usman seems to be prepared to debut in the middleweight category (up to 83,9kg) and face Khamzat Shimaev on October 21st. Former welterweight champion (up to 77,1kg), the athlete published a video (see below) where he demonstrates that he is up to date with his physical training and caught the attention of his followers.

Keeping an eye on the Nigerian's physical evolution, internet users reacted by praising the athlete's discipline.

“You look amazing” Oh my God! Come on,” said another fan.

“Going to middleweight at the last minute? If that’s not rude, I don’t know what is,” replied one account.

Called at the last minute to fill Pulo Borrachinha's position, Kamaru Usman He promptly accepted the invitation. Like this Khamzat Shimaev, the Nigerian is preparing to debut in a new category and could become a new challenger for the belt if he defeats his rival. Considered an underdog in bookmakers, the athlete seeks to return to the path of victory after two consecutive setbacks.

Long-time rivals, Chimaev and Usman frequently exchanged barbs when the 'Wolf' belonged to the under-77kg category. Officially agreed to finally face each other, the athletes are present at the UFC 297, in the penultimate fight of the event, on October 21st.
