Mark Hunt had a curious moment this week. Last Tuesday (5), the New Zealander posted a message on his Twitter regretting being unemployed, which caused surprise among his followers, he already has a fight scheduled against Roy Nelson for September 20th in Japan.

Amid questions from Hunt's fans, even UFC president Dana White, who is traveling on vacation, came out to clarify that the fighter was not fired from the organization.

PUBLICITY:

– Well, I'm unemployed, and it sucks.

– It wasn't my choice, guys. In one day, I went from being excited by the expectations of the future to being unemployed… That sucks.

PUBLICITY:

- No, Mark Hunt was not fired.

Days later, the explanation came. The fighter stated that he remains employed at the UFC and that he only posted the message because he was hungry, as he had not eaten carbohydrates.

PUBLICITY:

– I'm looking forward to September 20th in Japan. Sorry for the message about the dismissal. I was hungry, no carbs.

The fight between Hunt and Nelson will be the main event of UFC Fight Night 52, which will be held in the city of Saitama, Japan.
