Earlier in the week, Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier they were involved in a riot that gave people something to talk about. However, anyone who thinks that tempers calmed down among the fighters after what happened is mistaken.
Continuing with UFC 178 promotional events, Jones and Cormier participated in a question and answer session with fans in the city of Los Angeles, in the US state of California. Sitting on opposite sides of the stage, the two exchanged several provocations at certain moments of the event.
Declared critic of Cormier's fitness, Jones didn't miss the chance to provoke his rival again. “I will make you my wife. You will be Mrs. Jones that night. I'm going to rub your big belly and you're going to like it”, poked the champion, who immediately heard Cormier's response: “I'm going to rub it in your face. I'm going to put it right in front of your face. I’m going to suffocate you with my big, fat belly.”
The challenger was also asked about how he projects his performance in the event. “I have to go out there and give it my all, use every part of my body, my heart, my will. I want to leave it all in the Octagon on September 27th, and I feel good doing that,” he said.
This time, it was Jones who made the provocative retort. “That, ladies and gentlemen, is why he is a commentator. He speaks very well. That’s deep, man,” said the champion. “You’re an asshole,” Cormier shot back.
The fight between Jones and Cormier will be the main attraction of UFC 178, which will be held in Las Vegas, United States, on September 27th. The fight will mark the eighth defense of the belt by Jones, light heavyweight champion since 2011.
