Public disaffection from Leon edwards e Colby covington, protagonists in a fight for the welterweight belt (up to 77,1kg.) in the UFC 296, Jorge masvidal decided to give his opinion on the challenge between the rivals. In an interview with 'MMA Crazy', the veteran analyzed the confrontation and revealed his favorite for the clash.

“I hope Leon leaves Covington on a stretcher. The champion has shown himself to be efficient when fighting on the feet. I feel like Colby is a few steps above when we think about his wrestling. He is good at holding on to his opponent and not letting him escape. With a little evolution in wrestling, Leon may be able to come out on top. I hope he gets the better of it,” said Masvidal.

Covington's last victim in the UFC, Jorge went further. By analyzing the characteristics of his former best friend, the athlete warned the champion about the challenger's anti-game.

“Colby will not come to the fight. He will come to 'smell the crotch'. He can do this for 25 minutes, no problem. Leon needs to be prepared for this”, concluded Masvidal.
