the fight between Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier, during a press conference to promote UFC 178, gave something to talk about in the MMA world. Moments after the first images of the chaos were released, several UFC athletes, coaches and employees spoke out on social media.

UFC president Dana White did not attend the press conference, as he is on vacation on the island of Bora Bora, in the Pacific Ocean. However, the Ultimate boss didn't let the confusion go unnoticed.

PUBLICITY:

– I just landed in Bora Bora for my first vacation in a while, and it started off perfectly!

Dave Sholler, UFC public relations director and White's replacement as mediator of the “face-offs” at the press conference, commented on the episode in a humorous way after showing astonishment during the fight.

PUBLICITY:

– I'm completely fine, guys. Thanks for the support. I WANT THAT BELT!

See below for more reactions to the fight between Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier:

PUBLICITY:

Cain Velazquez (UFC heavyweight champion and Cormier's training partner):

– I’m not sure Cormier and Jones will be able to wait until September 27th! Go DC!

Stipe Miocic (UFC heavyweight):

PUBLICITY:

– Sholler is a hero, guys.

Rory McDonald (UFC welterweight):

– This is the exact reason why I don't let people get close during stares.

junior gypsy (UFC heavyweight):

– Yes, they seemed nervous and forgot to be respectful. I think it will be a very interesting fight…

Matt hugs (former UFC welterweight champion):

– You two may not read this, but what you did was bad for the sport. If it were me, I wouldn't talk about it anymore.

Joseph Benavidez (UFC flyweight):

– I know it was you, Jonny… You broke my heart.

Anthony Johnson (UFC light heavyweight):

– Everyone is talking about the fight, but it is sad. It's things like this that MMA fans love, but that make big sponsors still question MMA. It doesn't surprise me that Nike, Gatorade, etc. don't want to sponsor the sport!
