The month of September came to an end, but not before presenting MMA fans with some of the best submissions of the year so far. With this in mind, the team at SUPER FIGHTS got together and chose the five best finishes of the ninth month of 2023. Let's go to the list:

Bryan Battle x AJ Fletcher – UFC Las Vegas 79

At a great moment in the organization, BryanBattle entered the octagon in search of his second consecutive victory in the fast lane. Punished in the first round in a duel against AJ Fletcher, the North American managed to recover from the bad moment and proved that in addition to his knockout power, he is also very dangerous in grappling. Close to the bell, the athlete applied a beautiful rear naked choke and consecrated himself in the fight.

Daniel Zellhuber x Christos Giagos – Noche UFC

Great promise of the organization, Daniel Zellhuber performed at an event prepared to honor his country: Mexico. Gabriel Miranda x Shane Young – UFC 293

Charles Jourdain x Ricardo Carcacinha – UFC Las Vegas 79

Determined to break the bank and use his jiu-jitsu to dominate Charles Jourdain, Ricardo Carcacinha ended up paying dearly for the strategy of taking the fight to the ground. Despite having the takedown easily, the Brazilian ended up being surprised by the Canadian's progress in grappling and during the transition he left his neck to his rival who promptly applied a fair guillotine choke and won by submission in the first round.

Alexander Volkov vs Tai Tuivasa – UFC 293

Known for his excellence in stand-up fighting, Alexander Volkov performed in enemy territory determined to silence the Australian public. With a dominant performance, the Russian managed to reach the mount position on Tai tuivasa and surprised by leaving aside violent blows, to seek the rare 'Ezequiel' submission. Despite not having received a performance bonus, 'Dragon' reached first place in the September ranking of SUPER FIGHTS.
