For those who thought that the climate between Jon Jones e Alexander Gustafson was hostile, the intensity with which the rivalry between the light heavyweight champion and his new challenger has developed Daniel Cormier It must be surprising. “His hands are very fast'. 'His jiu-jitsu is very good'. 'His wrestling is very good'. 'He is very fast'. 'He is very experienced'. 'You can't beat his karate.' 'You can't beat your fighting time'. I've literally heard it all. Everything!” said the champion in a video released on his official profile on Instagram, in which he mentions Rashad evans e Alexander Gustafson to Lyoto Machida e Vitor belfort.

But Jones didn't just leave it at that. In addition to praising his own record, the champion was dismissive of the challenges Cormier has faced so far. “I can't wait to look at Daniel's face when he realizes that I have nothing to do with Dan Henderson or Patrick Cummings”, said “Bones”, this time through his account on Twitter.

On September 27th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas (USA), Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier settle their differences in the Octagon and fight for the welterweight belt in the main fight of UFC 178. Cormier got a chance to fight for the title after an injury to Alexander Gustafson – who would face Jones in a rematch of the “Fight of the Year 2013”, but ended up getting injured during his preparation for the fight.
