In search of renewal in MMA, Deiveson Figueiredo is preparing to debut in the UFC's bantamweight category (up to 61,2kg). At 35 years old, the former flyweight champion (up to 56,7 kg.) opened up and spoke about the estimated time it will take to hang up his gloves and retire from the sport that has been successful for many years. “I have three more years to go before I retire. In the name of Jesus, I always, always, always want to do great fights for the public while I'm in action, you can be sure of that (…) Thank God I achieved a lot through MMA. Look where I am now, in the United States. A boy who left Marajó, a simple farm town, and is in the United States now, fighting in the biggest organization in the world, giving my best to MMA fans and changing my family's history through fights,” he said.
