The month of September wasn't the best for Brazil in the UFC, but it wasn't bad enough to prevent Brazilian fighters from finishing the third quarter of 2023 with an advantage against the 'rest of the world' in the octagon.
In the four events held by Ultimate in the ninth month of the year, only seven Brazilians took action to face athletes from other countries. Of these, only two emerged victorious, while five were defeated.

If we only consider performance in the third quarter, the balance is positive for Brazilians. In 43 clashes held in the months of July, August and September, our country's representatives won 23 and lost 18.
Despite the poor performance in the last month, the 'Brazilian Squad' arrives for the last quarter of 2023 with an advantage of nine victories against the rest of the world in the year. In 121 direct confrontations, the Brazilians prevailed in 65 and were surpassed in 56.
The Brazilian advantage is guaranteed at least until the end of October, as only eight Brazilians have confirmed clashes against athletes from other countries in the three events of the month, with emphasis on Charles of the Bronx, who seeks to regain the lightweight belt (up to 70,3kg) in a rematch against Islam makhachev, UFC 294on the 21th.
