Registration for the National Cup, organized by World Legue Pro Jiu-Jitsu (WLPJJ), ends this Tuesday (June 23). The event, which takes place in São Paulo on June 27th and 28th, comes with cash prizes in all categories. In addition, it will form the São Paulo teams for the challenge against those of Rio de Janeiro, which were defined during the FJJD-Rio State Championship.
The absolute black belts (73kg, 85kg and +85kg) are worth R$1000 and the women's black/brown belts (56kg, 66kg and +66kg) are worth R$800. The brown champions will receive R$400, purple R$300 and blue R$200. Athletes from Rio de Janeiro who want to participate should contact the Rio de Janeiro Sports Jiu-Jitsu Federation at 7857-3033 ID 87* 5247 or 3624-9589, speak to Rogerio Gavazza.
FJJD-Rio will provide transport at a lower cost for athletes from Rio, but it is necessary to confirm by this Tuesday to guarantee a place. Those interested in staying at the accommodation must also confirm by this Wednesday and the cost will be just R$7,00 per person. Athletes from Rio de Janeiro will be able to present their FJJD-RIO card (valid in 2009) to participate in the competition.
