Anderson Silva sends a message of support to the Brazilian team after historic defeat

July 8, 2014 will go down in the history of Brazilian sport as the date of the football team's greatest embarrassment, following the 7-1 defeat to Germany in the World Cup semi-final. The tragedy at Mineirão, in Belo Horizonte (MG), had worldwide repercussions and, of course, it was no different in the MMA world. Using his official social media profiles, the former UFC champion Anderson Silva released a long message of support for the national team's players.

Throughout the text, Anderson comments on the common difficulties between life and sport and draws a parallel, even if indirectly, with what he himself recently experienced. Furthermore, Spider recalled that defeats serve as a learning experience and asked players not to blame themselves for what happened. Then, the fighter released a new message, this one directed to coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.
