Moments after the victory of Chris Weidman about Lyoto Machida at UFC 175, held last Saturday (5), Vitor belfort wasted no time and publicly challenged the Ultimate middleweight champion to a fight. However, the North American's head coach, Ray Longo, did not like Belfort's stance and criticized the “Phenomenon”.

Longo stated that the Brazilian has not shown a transparent stance after his recent doping case and clarified that Weidman will face him as soon as Belfort regularizes his situation so he can return to fight.

“I will say this: play by the rules, be a man and stop lying. What are we defending? You have kids and you're lying to everyone? Just follow the rules and Weidman will fight you any day of the week”, commented Longo, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Fighting”, showing irritation.

Belfort still doesn't know when he will be able to fight in the UFC again. His doping case will still be judged by the Nevada Athletic Commission, which, depending on the outcome, could result in a suspension and leave him out of action in 2014.
