At the beginning of the week, the muay thai coach of Dan Henderson, Daniel Woirin, revealed that the North American veteran would return to the middleweight category (up to 84 kg), where he last competed in 2010. However, Hendo went public to state that all of this is just a rumor.
In your official account at Twitter, Henderson declared that his return to the middleweight division is not true, although he considers the move as a possible alternative for the future.
It's funny how rumors get started. If you have read that I will be returning to middle weight. Not true, but always a possibility.

At 43, Dan Henderson has a professional record of 30 wins and 12 losses. The veteran was champion of the up to 84 kg category of the now extinct PRIDE, at the time called welterweight, and therefore challenged Anderson Silva for the UFC middleweight title, being defeated by the Brazilian via submission.
In Strikeforce, another organization also acquired by Ultimate, Hendo also fought for the middleweight title, but was defeated again – this time by Jake Shields. Despite the setbacks against Anderson and Shields, Henderson was also light heavyweight champion in both PRIDE (where the category was called middleweight) and Strikeforce.
