Former bantamweight promise (up to 61,2kg.), in Ultimate, Raoni barcelos added another defeat to the organization. Featured on the preliminary card of UFC Nashville, held this Saturday (5), in the United States, the Brazilian had a discreet performance against Kyler Phillips and did not convince the side judges. After three rounds, the American was declared the winner with a unanimous decision.
With the defeat, Raoni reaches a dramatic situation in the company. The stumble against the North American represents the fourth setback for the Rio native in the last five matches.

It turned into a nightmare
The fight began with Phillips taking the initiative with a low kick. Afterwards, the Brazilian launched a clean direct shot at his opponent's face, who did not attack. With a minute gone, Kyler risked another low kick, but Raoni cut it short and looked for a takedown. The American surprised, trying an armbar, which forced Barcelos to move away. The challenge was once again contested in the center of the octagon. Phillips attacked with a high kick, but, again, the carioca held his opponent's leg and attempted a takedown. Kyler defended himself well again and the fighters moved away. With three minutes gone, Raoni fell after being hit with a direct shot. Phillips went up and tried to finish, but the Brazilian managed to recover and stayed on his feet. In the final minute, the fighters started striking and were looking for a knockout. Almost in the final minute, the challenge was intense, but there was no more time.
In the second round, the first attack came from Phillips, who knocked the Brazilian off balance with a jab. Raoni fell and Kyler advanced in transitions. Still in the first minute, Barcelos managed to stay on his feet and the challenge was once again played in the center of the Octagon. Almost halfway through the stage, the North American surprised him with a high kick, but Raoni did not attack. A new direct from Phillips exploded in the face of the Rio native, who was at a disadvantage in the exchange. Near the final minute, Barcelos managed to get closer and started to press his opponent against the bars. The Brazilian tried to take him down, while Phillips resisted. Almost at the end of the round, Barcelos finally managed to take down his opponent, but Kyler got up easily.
The last round had Phillips taking the initiative with a jab. Afterwards, the North American attempted a takedown, an action defended by the Brazilian. As time passed, Kyler made better use of the distance and scored against the carioca. Raoni walked towards the opponent, but saved his attacks. Phillips started to manage the result and didn't take any risks against the Tupiniquim. With almost two minutes remaining, Barcelos grabbed his opponent's leg again after the American's attack and took the fight to the ground. Again, Kyler had no trouble standing. In the final minute, Raoni led the actions and tried to corner his opponent. Phillips circulated around the octagon and avoided direct contact. Close to the end of the confrontation, Barcelos attempted a takedown again, but there was no more time.

'It's only over when it's over'. Canceled by Jeremiah Wells during most of their confrontation, Carlston Harris, 'Mozambique', staged an epic comeback in the Octagon. In the last round, the fighter needed a 'miracle', and he found it in style. After taking advantage of an opponent's mistake, the 'Renovação Fight Team' fighter used a hand triangle and knocked out his opponent.
With the big turnaround, Harris reaches his second consecutive victory in the organization. Now, the fighter has four wins in five challenges in the UFC.
Beaten in the show, Wells has something to regret. In addition to letting victory slip away, the combatant suffers the first defeat in his career in the company.
Billy Quarantillo wins in exciting fight

Emotion took over the confrontation between UFC featherweights (up to 65,7kg). Coming from defeat to Edson Barboza, Billy quarantillo sought his redemption in the company, and he achieved it in the face of the brave Damon Jackson. After three rounds marked by the aggressiveness of the parties, Quarantillo was declared the winner with a unanimous decision by the judges.
With the victory, Billy gains survival in the company. Before the UFC Nashville, the athlete had accumulated three stumbles in the last five appearances.
Outperformed in the event, Jackson showed strength, but was unable to convince the three judges responsible for scoring the confrontation. The fighter's setback marks the featherweight's second consecutive defeat.
Sean Woodson dominates and wins by decision

In the second fight of the event, valid for the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg), Sean Woodson confirmed favoritism and defeated the debutant Dennis Buzukja. Mixing the traditional boxing game with efficient takedowns and dominance on the ground, the 'Sniper' controlled the actions and took victory in the judges' unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
As a result, Sean Woodson he had his fourth unbeaten fight, with three wins and a draw. The 'Sniper' hasn't lost since June 2020.
On the other side, Dennis Buzukja, who accepted the fight days in advance, debuted in the organization with a defeat. The result interrupts the fighter's seven-fight winning streak.
Asu Almabaev beats Ode' Osbourne and debuts with victory

Asu Almabaev debuted on the right foot in the UFC. In the first fight of UFC Nashville, valid in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg), the Kazakh took no notice of Ode'Osbourne and defeated the Jamaican by submission, with a rear naked choke in the second round of the fight.
With the victory in his debut in the octagon, Asu Almabaev He now has 13 consecutive victories and has not lost since April 2017.
On the other hand, 'The Jamaican Sensation' Ode' Osbourne is unable to continue the victory achieved over Charles Johnson, in February this year and has now suffered two defeats in the last three fights.
