With the mutual interest of Anderson Silva e Nick Diaz for a duel between them upon the Brazilian's return to the octagon, according to statements from people linked to the duo and the athletes themselves, it seems that all that is needed is the UFC's approval for the confrontation to get off the ground. And if it depends on President Dana White, the organization will not only not represent any type of obstacle to the fight, but should also encourage the promotion of the fight.

Asked about his position on the confrontation between Diaz and Silva, the director was direct. “If they want to fight each other, why would I say no?”, said White, during a conversation with journalists after the UFC 174 press conference, this Thursday (12), in Vancouver (Canada).
